New Jersey native, Dea Lenihan, is an artist, author, and illustrator whose work can be seen on book covers and in museums and galleries. As an illustrator, in 2013, Dea was recognized and showcased by the ERIC CARLE MUSEUM of Massachusetts, where they featured her illustrations from the book, OPEN PILLOW. Later, she was commissioned to illustrate additional books and book covers in the middle-grade novel space. She is the creator of 13 bestselling coloring books and subsequent YouTube Channels, ART BY DEA and DOODLEBUG ART, which boasts an impressive 300 videos where adults and children alike can learn her illustration techniques. Yearly, she is commissioned to decorate the doors and windows of the famed RIALTO THEATER of Westfield, New Jersey, for ADDAMSFEST, a month-long celebration of the work of Charles Addams, creator of The Addams Family. Some of Dea’s more unique work has been creating the, I AM A WRITER, yearly planner, her Easter egg designs which were featured in PARADE MAGAZINE, her logo and graphic art designs for business, and the commissioning of portraits for private collections.
